I realized this weekend again after almost 4 years how much I love
when my rings sparkle! Do you know the significance of the finger that we wear our wedding rings on ? Or why Canadian diamond’s are becoming so popular?
The Egyptians were the first to wear a ring on their fourth finger. They believed the significance of this finger was that the vein of love was found inside, which ran directly to the heart.
The Romans also had a part in the wedding ring’s significance. They believed the circle represented the cycle of life as well as eternity; hence why these exact words are used in numerous wedding vows even today.
A new trend in the Canadian diamond has showcased the Aurias stones, the only Canadian diamonds to be rated amongst the world’s top designated. All these stones are mined, cut and polished in the Northwest Territories of Canada, and are sold with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the Government of the Northwest Territories to prove their origin. This statement is important because there is no technology commercially available that can test a polished diamond to prove where it was mined.
